The Berkeley City College Writing Center

Individual Tutoring in the Writing Center

At the BCC Writing Center, you can receive support from highly trained and experienced writing tutors to improve your skills in planning, organizing, developing, and editing your academic essays.  During summer, 2023, you may sign up for a tutoring appointment in the Writing Center at the following times:

Monday-Thursday 12-1

Monday, Wednesday 4-6

Tuesday, Thursday 5-7

To schedule an appointment, contact bccwritingcoachanthony@gmail.com or enroll in English 501. This non-credit “class” has no requirements other than coming to your scheduled appointment either once or more often, based on your needs.

In the BCC Writing Center, you’ll receive structure and support to help you write academic essays, everything from weekly submissions on Canvas to final papers.
You’ll learn to plan and organize essays, develop ideas, and, finally, edit and proofread your own work.
For more information, please contact us at bccwritingcoachanthony@gmail.com.

We offer writing workshop classes that will give you consistent support to improve your writing skills :

This course is intended to supplement work in all classes which require essay writing, based on student needs. It is not a drop-in lab. Students will receive coaching to develop the skills they need to edit and revise their own work. They will have the benefits of ongoing structure and support.
