ANRE AI Berkeley

ANRE AI Berkeley aims to accelerate the growth of technical and interpersonal skills of our community by fostering a supportive community with access to valuable resources for career and personal development, with an emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, but coverage of multiple other STEM, Artistic, and Humanitarian endeavors. We seek to provide opportunities in the form of connections with professional contacts and likeminded students, training resources for specific skills and technologies, announcements for otherwise missed events, fairs, job / internship opportunities, and by exploring both new and existing ideas and technologies. Students may as well be considered for internship opportunities at ANRE Research, being able to receive direct mentorship from senior developers and researchers, alongside the ability to do exciting and intellectually challenging work with us on projects with various institutions and companies (Visit our website here for more details: https://anre.ai).

API LEAD Club

Asian Pacific Islander L.E.A.D. (Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy and Diversity) Club–API LEAD Club’s main purpose is to promote awareness of the diverse Asian and Pacific Islander culture and traditions to Berkeley City College. As a club, our goal is to provide support for all Asian and/or Pacific Islander students at Berkeley City College by enhancing and promoting cultural diversity. BCC Applied Mathematics Club

The purpose of the club is to foster an accommodating learning environment for math learners and develop member interest in math and its applications. We will work towards this end goal of increasing mathematical interest at Berkeley City College by promoting the pursuit of careers in mathematics and related fields, and eroding preconceptions of growth-inhibiting hierarchy within the field of math. Children’s Book Donation Club

The Children’s Book Donation Club is dedicated to enhancing literacy and fostering a love of reading among children. In collaboration with the “Children’s Book Project” in San Francisco, we endeavor to collect and distribute books to those in need. Our efforts not only promote literacy but also unite Berkeley students eager to positively influence children’s educational journeys. We warmly welcome any students interested in donating books to reach out to us. Your sincere generosity can make a significant difference in children’s lives.

Computer and Data Sciences Club (CS&DS)

This club serves as a networking place for like-minded individuals who share an interest in Computer and Data Sciences. We seek to create an environment where everyone can join to learn about programming, Artificial Intelligence, data extraction, etc. For those individuals with a higher skill set or greater passion, this is an opportunity to make strong connections and friendships for the rest of their academic journeys.

Dual Enrolled Students Club

The dual enrolled students club is a club for high school students who are also taking classes at BCC or another Peralta college. We are here to create a space for dual enrolled students to meet peers, get support in classes and get help navigating the college environment.

East African Student Association Club

The East African Student Association Board’s (EASA), purpose is to promote and educate about East African culture through different cultural foods and events. Students of all backgrounds can learn more about East African culture at BCC.

Economics Club

Economics club aims to create a vibrant community where students can explore, discuss, and apply economic principles. Electronics & Engineering Club

The main purpose of the Electronics and Engineering Club is to bridge the gap between four-year institutions and BCC in terms of STEM related resources and opportunities. Our core mission is to provide a space for students to have a STEM oriented community where they can develop professionally, personally, and academically. We achieve this by hosting socials, organizing technical, and professional events, as well as providing resources such as our alumni network, academic advising, and 3D printer.

Friends of Tibet Club

The purpose of the Friends of Tibet club is to inform the Berkeley City College community, and general public about the ongoing situation in Tibet. Due to the severe lack of Tibetan representation within our media, our club believes we can educate, and create a platform for discussion related to the Tibetan cause. We also plan to showcase different Tibetan foods, and celebrations, and with it, spread Tibetan heritage, culture and stories.

ISC is a community of international students coming together as a family, a home away from home for the next couple of years before graduating or transferring. ISC encourages and promotes goodwill among international students to increase awareness and appreciation of other cultures to provide an opportunity to develop lifelong friends.

International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) Club

The purpose of the ISMP club is to welcome, serve, and support international students by offering a space to practice English, seek mentorship, find a network of friends, and/or explore Christianity. We aim to provide a “home away from home” experience for all international students!

Latinx Unidos

BCC Latinx Unidos Club’s main purpose is to promote awareness of the diverse Latinx culture and traditions to Berkeley City College. As a club, our goal is to provide support for Latinx students at Berkeley City College by enhancing and promoting cultural diversity. In addition, as a student organization, we want to provide a safe space for Latinx students to thrive and sponsor social, cultural, and academic events that will be able to provide student peer support and leadership.

Muslim Student Association

Here at MSA, our purpose is to provide students at BCC with an opportunity for community engagement , and religious exploration. We strive to build a community and network among our muslim students, and non muslims alike. We aim to hold educational events, activities guided by the principals of Islam where students can feel engaged and contribute to a rich diversity.

Running Club

We want BCC students to be active and healthy. Our club focuses on getting the students at BCC involved in running and building a supportive community. We believe that being active can improve physical health and help with the students mental well-being, by reducing stress. Want to learn how to start coding without any experience? Want to make projects that you can add to your resume such as a virtual assistant? Do you want to know the steps for what it takes to get a role as a software engineer? If you said yes then consider joining the Software and Computing Club! We will host weekly meetings where we will learn how to create projects that you can add to your resume! We will also dive into what a software engineer does in the real world and how to prepare for technical interviews!

Tzu Chi Club

The club will be cooperative with Tzu Chi, which is a nonprofit organization in Oakland. The purpose of club is to provide volunteer opportunities for BCC students and Peralta students. The event will be food serving and distribution, the street cleaning and so on. Tzu Chi is worldwide and having more than 40 million members around the world. In UCB, UCSD and so on, they also have Tzu chi branches.
