The Latinx Leadership Cultural Club at Berkeley City College is hosting a free movie screening of Dolores Huerta Friday March 23rd at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. The screening will be followed by an open group discussion. The event is free for all to attend and open to the public. FREE FOOD!

Documentary Screening: From Incarceration to Education (FITE) – March 15 @ 12 noon – 2 pm, Room 21

The Berkeley Underground Scholars Initiative, a joint program between UC Berkeley and Berkeley City College, is hosting a screening of From Incarceration to Education (FITE).  This documentary highlights the journey of formerly incarcerated students succeeding despite the odds and will be followed by a panel discussion.  Please come and meet the students and those involved in the documentary.

BCCs Muslim Student Association, MSA, invites you to our upcoming events! We have a lot planned this semester and this is the just the beginning. 

Events Schedule @ College Hour (12:15 – 1:15 pm):

March 5, 12, 19, Room 34 – Guest Speaker: Ahmad Rashid Salim – a highly knowledgeable scholar of Islam and will speak on certain topics such as the difference between culture and religion, women’s rights, different sects of Islam, and living in America as a Muslim. 

March 6 – Phone Banking, Atrium where we contact different politicians who are being funded by the National Rifle Association (NRA) to stand up and fight for stronger GUN CONTROL

March 20, 4 – 8 pm, Atrium – Persian New Year celebration! The Persian calendar is a solar calendar meaning it follows the sun, thus making the Spring time the new year! We want everyone to come out and celebrate with food, music, and experience a new culture on March 20.

This timely performance will tackle issues concerning TLGBQ; People of Color & Indigenous People; Islamophobia; Feminism and/or Gender; Justice; Immigrant Rights; Social Justice; Solidarity and more.

BCC Comic Book Club Screening: Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-sense tingling! Berkeley City College now has a Comic Book Club and they’re hosting a free screening of “Spider-Man: Homecoming” with pizza, comics, and a S.T.E.M. talk by the BCC Science Department!
