We are so excited to announce Undocumented Students Action Week starts Monday, October 17th, 22! This year Undocumented Community Resource Center will intentionally center our undocumented community here at Berkeley City College and our mission is to create a safe and welcoming space in every program. Be sure to visit the library which will feature a special book exhibit with undocumented community stories.

This year is the Sixth Annual Undocumented Student Action Week. The California Community College system enrolls the largest population of undocumented students of any segment of public higher education. When undocumented immigrants can pursue their career and professional goals free of institutional barriers and discrimination, they are able to reach their educational goals and, in turn, contribute to the improvement of their communities and our economy.

This year’s theme is Juntos Podemos (Together, We Can): Collaborative Ecosystems that Support Undocumented Students, which recognizes that we must be intentional about integrating undocumented student success throughout equity initiatives. We must collectively engage in this critical work not just during Action Week, but every day of the year.

In that spirit, we have a special week planned:

Monday- Friday: Stop by the UCRC table to share your immigration story

9 am- 12 pm ( Pastries and orange juice will be provided)

Thursday: Meet and Greet Undocumented Community Resource Center First Floor inside of the Learning Center 12:15-1:15 pm (Lunch will be provided)

Friday: Statewide Undocu-webinar Watch Party “Juntos Podemos” 9-10 am student lounge (Lunch will be provided)
