Silence is Violence: Unpacking & Addressing Anti-AAPI Violence – March 21, 2021

March 21, 2021

Dear Berkeley City College Community,

As a co-founder and executive board member of the California Community College Organización de Latinx Empowerment, Guidance, & Advocacy for Success (COLEGAS), I invite you to attend the Silence is Violence: Unpacking & Addressing Anti-AAPI Violence on March 27th from 1:00 – 3:00pm. The event is sponsored by the COALITION, which is the collaboration of COLEGAS, the African-American Male Education Network (A2MEND) and the Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE) to come together in solidarity for promoting equity and racial justice throughout the California Community College system.

You will see the invitations coming out via the various statewide email lists today and tomorrow. Given our work and focus this past year on building community and advancing equity and racial justice, I wanted to share to directly with the BCC community.

In Community,
Angélica
