Hello, and welcome to my website! I am a professor in the Mathematics Department of Berkeley City College.

You can reach me via email at

I began teaching at BCC in the spring of 2014. I am a graduate of UC Berkeley with a doctorate in theoretical physics (2014) and a graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a doctorate in pure mathematics (2009). Prior to that, I was an undergraduate at the University of Delaware where I earned an honors degree in mathematics and physics and a master’s degree in applied mathematics.

My research areas include geometric analysis, quantum field theory in curved spacetime, chaos theory, nonequilibrium statistical mechanics and superstring theory. Time permitting, I’m always happy to chat about these topics.

M3E and M3A students: HW#1 posted!

Attention M3E (41908) students: We have been moved from BCC Annex Suite 201 to BCC Room 054 (Ground Floor). This room change is effective immediately.

Lecture for Math 3E students on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd is cancelled. An additional lecture will be held on December 9th during the normal lecture time.
