Registered Apprenticeships combine paid on-the-job training with college coursework and mentorship, allowing apprentices to build practical experience while working toward industry-recognized credentials and college credit. Berkeley City College provides the Related Supplemental Instruction (RSI) that complements workplace training, ensuring apprentices gain both the technical knowledge and hands-on skills required in today’s workforce. Registered Apprenticeships in California are industry-vetted, paid programs recognized by the US Department of Labor or California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
