Apprenticeships depend on industry partnership. Employers play a critical role in preparing the next generation of skilled professionals. By partnering with Berkeley City College, your organization can develop a strong talent pipeline while supporting employees as they gain the skills needed to succeed. There are two types of apprenticeships for employers to consider: traditional and incumbent worker apprenticeships. In a traditional apprenticeship, employers hire new talent into apprenticeship roles and provide on the job training along with related instruction. In an incumbent worker apprenticeship, employers invest in their current employees by supporting them in gaining new skills, certifications, and education rather than filling a new position.
Through these partnerships, employers can recruit, train, and retain talent, strengthen their workforce, and contribute to expanding career pathways for the local community.
BCC is excited to offer the employers the opportunity to participate in:
- Mock interviews
- Resume review
- Industry chats
- Industry advisory committees
