Berkeley City College offers two pathways for students interested in developing data skills: the Data Analytics Certificate and the Associate Degree in Data Science. Whether you are looking to gain workforce-ready skills or prepare for transfer to a four-year university, our programs provide a strong foundation in data analysis, statistics, programming, and problem-solving.

Students learn to collect, organize, analyze, visualize, and communicate data using modern computational and statistical tools. Through hands-on coursework and interdisciplinary applications, students develop skills that can be applied across a wide range of industries and academic fields.

Data Analytics Certificate

Designed for students seeking practical and career-focused skills in data analysis, database systems, spreadsheets, programming, and statistical reasoning. This certificate can help prepare students for entry-level opportunities in data-related fields and strengthen professional qualifications across many industries.

Associate Degree in Data Science

Designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year university or pursue advanced study in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Social Sciences, or related fields. The degree provides a comprehensive foundation in mathematics, programming, data analysis, and computational thinking.
