Welcome to the Berkeley City College Phi Theta Kappa Beta Gamma Nu Honor Society.

The Privileges of Membership are Unmatched.
Members have access to nearly $90 million in scholarships to continue their education at the two-year, four-year and graduate levels—a benefit unmatched by other honor societies. This includes $37 million in transfer scholarships available exclusively for members. For students like you, that means an average transfer scholarship amount of $2,500 annually.
In addition, membership prepares you for a successful future with personal, professional and leadership development opportunities, all aimed at helping you complete college and become more competitive in the job market.
Phi Theta Kappa is Worth the Price of Admission.
You now join the ranks of acclaimed authors, astronauts, scientists, medical professionals, educators, athletes, global leaders and others whose desire, discipline and determination have earned them the highest honor awarded to community college students: membership in Phi Theta Kappa.
Membership eligibility for Phi Theta Kappa at Berkeley City College (Beta Gamma Nu) is based on the number of hours you have completed and your GPA; therefore, membership is a special honor afforded to outstanding students at Berkeley City College. All eligible students will be sent an email invitation to join the honor society each new semester. This invitation will be sent to your peralta student email address. Members pay a one-time membership fee of $105 (local, regional and international fees) for enrollment in the organization on the local, regional and international levels. In order to be eligible, you must have completed at least 12 semester units in the Peralta District with at least 8 semester units at Berkeley City College and have a GPA of 3.50 or higher; you must maintain this GPA to remain a member.
So don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our elite family of scholars. The one-time $105 lifetime membership fee* is an investment in your future. In addition to the membership fee, membership in the Beta Gamma Nu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Berkeley City College requires the following:
