Emergency Assistance

Due to COVID-19, we understand that many of our students are currently facing financial struggles to make ends meet. At Berkeley City College, we are proud to provide assistance for our students.

If you are facing a one-time or short term financial emergency, we may be able to help. Berkeley City College is offering limited grants to assist students who are struggling with an urgent expense that might interfere with attending school or finishing your program. The grant is a district-wide response to address emergency needs for low-income college students, including undocumented students, foster youth, non-credit, and those who are housing insecure.

Grocery Bag Distribution In light of the current COVID-19 crisis, the Berkeley City College Food Pantry (BCCFP) is collaborating with the Berkeley Food Network (BFN) to continue distributing food for students. This will ensure that BCC students retain the capacity to receive prepared grocery bags with food inside them. For more information, please click here.

Please note: Application processing will be on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, please allow up to 2 business days for processing. Below is the application. For more information on external resources, please click here.
