Sent via email to September 28, 2014 2:20PM

Thank you to all of you able to attend the 22 September 2014 Basic Skills Initiative meeting. I am appreciative for your thoughts, feedback, and recommendations!

To provide everyone information on the discussion, please find attached:

1) the BSI meeting agenda DRAFT BCC Basic Skills Initiative Meeting Agenda 22 Sept 14
2) PowerPoints from the BSI and Equity meeting Basic Skills Initiative fall 1415 PP and Equity Plan Data Review (Dr. V.Vega Fall 2014)
3) 2012-2013 BSI Report and Plan BCC 1213 BSI Report and 1314 Plan

Please note, the PowerPoint includes links to BSI professional development, best practices, and data resources as you consider your BSI recommendations.

Thanks to BCC ESL alumna Pegah Berahmandi, all of the feedback and recommendations gathered in our 14-15 Goals, Activities/Programs, and Outcomes/Data plan team activity have been placed into a Google spreadsheet. The Google spreadsheet, as you might have experienced, allows groups to work collaboratively on a common document. Pegah kindly created a multi-tab document to allow you to navigate by selecting tabs along the bottom of the spreadsheets.

Although we worked in teams devoted to each of the four stages our students experience (Connection, Entry, Progress, and Completion/Transfer), everyone is welcome to add to each stage.

Would you be so kind to please review the first tab (Instructions and brief BSI Introdcution), reference the second, third and fourth tabs as needed (Goals, Data Available, and Data Requested), and then enter your perspective into the four stages (Connection, Entry, Progress, and Completion/Transfer)?

Please find the Google spreadsheet to review and enter feedback and recommendations here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uctMUxHBh3BplnkAA_evUuaF75qPuU6ueBIOh4PVNzg/edit?usp=sharing

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Please do not hesitate to contact me (mbergman@peralta.edu) with any questions or concerns.
