P2P Mental Health Ambassadors

Thanks for your interest; applications for the 2022-23 Academic Year are now closed.

The Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Mental Health Ambassador program provides students with an opportunity to lead student success groups, host 1:1 peer support sessions, and gain valuable program coordination experience.  Funding for these positions is limited and applications are competitive. We encourage you to participate in Success Inc this semester to get a good idea of what to expect.

We recruit the semester prior to hire. Our next recruitment cycle will begin April 1, 2023.

The P2P team runs the weekly Success Inc gathering (online), hosts 1:1 online Peer-to-Peer Support Sessions via Zoom or Chat, develops social media marketing material and presentations, and visits classrooms and clubs to promote our programs.

Selected applicants must enroll in HUSV 510A/B Mental Health Ambassador Training I/II. These courses are non-credit/no-fee and mostly online.  This is an excellent experience for many UC and CSU program applications. There is a 20/hour per week commitment, and these positions are paid at Berkeley minimum wage: $16.32/hour. Selected applicants must be available online for the following:

  • Mondays 3-5p
  • Wednesdays 5-7p
  • Fridays 11:30a-1:20p
  • Remaining 14/week are flexible
