Certificate of Proficiency
The School Readiness Certificate of Proficiency is an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students to explore the field of education. Upon completion of this program, students will be eligible to receive the California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit with a School-Age Emphasis, which authorizes work to assist in the instruction of children in before-school, after-school, and other school age or publicly funded programs. Each course included in this certificate is stackable to the Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies Teacher Preparation and is transferable to CSU and UC.
The School Readiness Certificate Program is an integral part of a Registered Apprenticeship with ECEPTS Careers with Children and Families Youth Apprenticeship Program.
