Celebrate the New Issue of the Milvia Street Art & Literary Journal – Fri., Feb. 10, BCC Auditorium, 7-9:30 pm

Come celebrate the release of the new issue of Milvia Street, Berkeley City College’s art and literary journal.

Friday, 10 February 2017 from 7:00 to 9:30pm in the BCC Auditorium, 2050 Center Street, Berkeley. Just half a block from Bart and buses.

The new journal has expanded to showcase artwork with a portfolio of full color art and a fold out cover. It is dedicate to Ara Jo, artist and organizer, who perished in the Ghost Ship fire, and to Britt Badgley Almo, educator and activist.

We’ll have a reading of the literary work and a slide show of the art in full color.

Readers include Julian Mithra, Christine Lias, Nichelle Pete, T.S. Walker, Sherry Fraser, Diana B. Arnold, Jenny Lowood, Youssef Ahalla, Anne-Marie Ross, Don Hagelberg, Julie Southworth, and Avery Spenser.

TablingOur Master of Ceremonies is Fungai Gora.

Artists in this issue: Karen Scroggs, Aurea Altamirano, Arlo Zynn, Liz McCall, Rodolfo Perez, Meghan Schultz, Colin Dodsworth, TS Walker, Gerarado P. Mendez, Fulani Carter, Naomi Floyd, Kathleen Lemaire, Joe Doyle, and Victor F. Lee.
