Welcome to the Berkeley City College Mathematics Department website.

Under the leadership of department co-chairs Professor Salvador Garcia and Professor Morton Davis , the mathematics department faculty strives to serve the many needs of a diverse student body. Some students arrive at Berkeley City College seeking to improve their most basic academic skills, some to complete lower division work before transferring to upper division institutions, some to prepare for making major career changes. Some come for the simple pleasure of learning. Our department is here to support all in their endeavors through course offerings that span the basic skills and lower division college mathematics curriculum.

Course offerings include arithmetic, prealgebra, elementary algebra, geometry, intermediate algebra, precalculus, trigonometry, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, statistics, mathematics for liberal arts students, calculus for business and life/social sciences, and various mathematics workshops.

For the latest information about department events, including upcoming enrollment dates and course offerings, please see our News page.
