Student are required to present valid identification such as a current student ID card or other ID card (CA ID or Driver’s license) when visiting the Financial Aid Front Counter. Please have your student ID card or one other ID card available.

The Peralta District has officially launched the new PeraltaCard, a new method for delivering financial aid disbursements to students since 2012. Students will begin receiving their Financial Aid funds through their PeraltaCard.
Financial Aid Students: In order to continue to receive uninterrupted financial aid, you MUST review and update your mailing address and phone number as soon as possible. Also see the videos below on how the new PeraltaCard (HigherOne) works.
The new PeraltaCard will be mailed to each student’s current address on file with Peralta Community College District. It is critical that all students update their mailing address. When the student receives the card in the mail, he or she must activate the card and choose a disbursement option in order to access the financial aid money at www.PeraltaCard.com.
Students are given three disbursement options to choose from:
1. Use of PeraltaCard
2. Wire transfer to the bank of their choice
3. Receipt of a physical check by mail

New E-mail Procedures – Effective Fall 2011 Semester, the Berkeley City College Financial Aid Office will begin returning student email inquiries to the student’s Peralta email account only. Please check your Peralta email regularly for updates and replies.
