What are the Writing Workshop Classes at BCC?

The Writing Workshop is a support class for students at all levels that provides on-on-one coaching to help you learn to revise and edit your writing. You meet in the computer lab for 2 or more hours per week,  where you work on your own writing at your own pace and conference with well-trained writing coaches.  Coaches will not edit your work for you, but help you learn to do it yourself. It is not a drop-in lab, so you must enroll in ESL 218, ENG 208, or ENG 258, but once you are enrolled, you can attend other sections of the class (even if the other one is officially full) if you walk in and there is a computer available.

What is the Grammar Workshop?

Similar to the Writing Workshop, the Grammar Workshop (ESL 220)  is a support class for students at all levels that provides on-on-one coaching especially for grammar and mechanics.
