EOPS Services

What types of services does EOPS offer?

EOPS offers a variety of services which contribute to your college success. They include:

  • Counseling

EOPS provides you with academic, career and personal counseling, and peer advising to enhance your success in college.  Academic and EOPS counselors will help you develop a Student Education Plan (SEP), which identifies educational objectives and outlines a plan for attaining your educational goals.  They will also help you adjust to college.

  • Priority Enrollment

Be eligible to register for classes on an earlier registration date.

  • A Book Service Program

Each semester, EOPS’s Book Service Program provides you with book vouchers to help you buy textbooks.  Book vouchers are issued during the first three weeks of each semester.

  • Financial Aid

You may be eligible to receive an EOPS grant and federal financial aid.  To be considered, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) and the Board of Governors Fee Waiver (BOGFW).

  • Work/Study Opportunities

If you participate in Work/Study, you may be awarded a campus job that is related to your interests and career goals.

  • Instructional Support Services

Tutoring, basic skills instruction, and academic progress monitoring is provided to ensure your success.

  • EOPS Outreach

EOPS connects with our community to recruit students, provide you with registration assistance, orientation to college and program services.  We also help you with referrals, transfer and transition to four-year universities.

  • Student Activities
