Congratulations to our alumnus, Joseph Cadora, who published his book, Rilke: New Poems, with a foreword by Robert Hass, in 2014.


In Fall, 2012, BCC launched its English AA-T, an associate’s degree that offers guaranteed admission to CSU (with a gpa of 2.0 or higher) and is viewed favorably for candidates applying for transfer to UC.  See the link to the right.


Congratulations to our alumnus, Martin Zirulnik, who was awarded the U.C. Berkeley English Department Citation for Graduating Seniors in 2011; he was the sole recipient of this award.  Martin is currently earning a PhD in English Literature at U.C.L.A.


Congratulations to our alumnus, Jack Howells, who won the U.C. Berkeley English department’s 2011 “Bertrand Bronson Prize for the Outstanding Senior Honor’s Thesis,” as well as the Center for British Studies’ Kirk Underhill Undergraduate Paper Prize.  Jack  earned his B.A. in English literature at U.C. Berkeley.
