Thi Bui Presents: Re-Examining the Refugee Story, Thurs., 5/18, @ 7-8pm, Auditorium

“Re-Examining the Refugee Story” will be presented by Thi Bui, author, artist, and teacher, on May 18, from 7 – 8 pm, in the Berkeley City College Auditorium. Berkeley City College is located at 2050 Center St., downtown Berkeley, a half block from the Downtown Berkeley BART Station. This even is free and open to the public.

Thi Bui is a critically acclaimed writer, artist, and former public school teacher.  She came to the U.S. as a refugee in the aftermath of the Vietnam War, and continues to advocate for refugees and immigrants today.

Her graphic novel “The Best We Could Do” was published on March 7.  There will be a book signing afterward.
