Join us for the very popular, standing-room only multimedia event of the year: The Berkeley City College Multimedia Arts Student Showcase!
This year, the event takes place on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 6 – 9 pm, in the BCC Auditorium, 2050 Center Street, downtown Berkeley.
The Multimedia Arts program prepares students for careers in the growing Multimedia field. Jobs include graphic arts, animation, video production, sound design, web design, and game design. Many of MMART students have worked for companies such as Pixar and Lucas Films.
One of the department’s successful alumni is 2013 Emmy winner, Paige Bierma. Her documentary, A Brush with the Tenderloin, aired on KQED’s “Truly California”.
A department faculty member is world-renowned E.J. Holowicki, a sound designer for Pixar and Lucas Films. Holowicki teaches sound design and has been a sound editor for big budget films including but not limited to Brave, Finding Nemo, Up, and Star Wars: Episode VII, The Force Awakens.
The showcase consists of short films, animations, print art and web designs by BCC studens and is also a way to highlight some of the work of MMART alumni. Invite friends, family, students, and anyone interested in Berkeley City College’s Multimedia Arts Program. The event is free and open to the public.
