“Food Rebellions: Crisis and the Hunger for Justice”, a talk by Eric Holt-Gimenez, the Executive Director of Food First, the U.S.’s foremost independent think tank on food and hunger. Author of several books and numerous articles, he is an agroecologist and political economist with thirty years experience working with food and agriculture movements in the United States, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
Talk will be followed by comments and Q and A
Wednesday, April 23 at 12:15 PM in the BCC Atrium
Dirty Energy/Clean Solutions”, a talk by Judy Pope, who serves on the Steering Committee of 350 Bay Area as Strategy Coordinator and as speaker and speaker trainer for 350 Bay Area’s speakers bureau. 350.org has been one of the most important groups raising the issue of Global Warming and organizing against the Keystone XL Pipeline.
Talk will be followed by comments and Q and A.

“A Fierce Green Fire”, documentary about the history of the environmental movement around the world.
