Important Changes That May Affect Your Registration Priority

15 July 2013

Effective spring 2013 State law requires that students who are placed on academic or progress probation or who have completed 75 or more units of non-remedial course work at a specific community college be notified of the potential loss of future priority registration status at that college. Once a student completes 100 units of non-remedial course work, the law requires that he or she is no longer eligible for priority registration.  The district shall notify the student that a second consecutive term on academic or progress probation will result in the loss of priority registration until the student is no longer on probation or that enrollment priority will be lost when the student reaches the unit limit.
