The District will be hosting two public/community forums on Monday, April 9, 2012, with the 5 finalists for the next Chancellor.
The forum format will be co-moderated by Dr. Wise E. Allen, Chancellor and Dr. Karolyn van Putten, District Academic Senate President. Each candidate will have an opportunity to briefly address the audience, after which they will respond to thoughtful questions from the floor. The total time spent with each finalist will be 30 minutes.
The first forum is scheduled for 12:00 noon – 3:10 p.m. at Berkeley City College in the Auditorium. The second forum will take place during the evening from 5:00 p.m. – 8:10 p.m. at the Peralta District Boardroom.
The Berkeley City College forum will be recorded on Granicus, and the District forum will be a live broadcast on PCTV. Granicus: http://web.peralta.edu/trustees/meetings-votelog/
Public comment cards will be available for audience participants to complete at both Berkeley and District sessions. You may access forum comment cards and view biographical information for each of the finalists on the Peralta Board’s website (click here): Chancellor Search. You may also send Roxanne Epstein, Assistant to the Chancellor, your public comments via email at email@example.com. Please submit your comments to Roxanne by no later than 9:00 p.m. on April 9, 2012. The Governing Board will review all comments.
